The Constitutional Amendment Technical Committee has been in Chipata collecting submissions from citizens and we are proud to have played an active role in this national process.
Together with the CSO Consortium on Constitutional Amendments – Chipata, Lizu Community Network took the initiative to simplify the Terms of Reference (ToRs), making them more accessible and easier to understand for the public.
We supported citizens from five wards in Chipata Central to submit their proposals, recommendations, and suggestions both physically at Uncle Chipeta Lodge and digitally online, helping bridge the digital participation gap.
We’re excited to note a massive turnout of over 234 citizens, including women, youth, and persons with disabilities, showcasing inclusive participation in governance.
