On 19th March, 2025, Lizu Community Network successfully hosted an Accountability Community Dialogue in Navutika compound, Kapata Ward, bringing together 120 community members for an engaging discussion on governance and accountability.
The dialogue featured Councilor Johnstone Silungwe from Masupe Ward, who shared valuable insights on how citizens can hold civic leaders accountable and actively participate in decision-making processes. His contributions sparked thought-provoking conversations, reinforcing the importance of community-driven governance.
This initiative is part of our broader mission to bridge the gap between civic leaders and citizens, ensuring that communities have access to the information, tools, and confidence needed to demand transparency and good governance. By fostering open dialogue across various wards, we aim to build stronger, more connected communities where every voice matters.
A big thank you to all 120 attendees who participated and contributed to the discussion!
Let’s continue working together to promote civic engagement and accountability.
