On 8th March, 2025, Activista Chipata, in partnership with Lizu Community Network and Young Development and Health Focus, successfully hosted a Public Debate featuring three aspiring mayoral candidates and one aspiring councilor. The event saw an impressive turnout of over 200 attendees, reflecting the community’s strong commitment to civic engagement and good governance.
This debate provided a crucial platform for citizens to engage directly with the candidates, pose critical questions, and scrutinize their manifestos. By facilitating open discussions, the event empowered voters to make informed choices while encouraging leaders to uphold transparency and accountability.
